Study the Word

The Bible is the manual for life.

God said we are to teach His word and not the commandments and doctrine of men: "Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." There are many that believe that we can not loose salvation but that is contradiction of scripture: Ezekiel 33:13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

If we can not loose our salvation then we can not gain it either. And this is how we start of the path of rightousness: Ezekiel 33:14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; Ezekiel 33:15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Take the time to study and mediate on scripture.

There are people in the church that says we are, through following Christ teaching and example, incapable of stop sinning. We are commanded to stop sinning. If we don't we will not see heaven. God said: 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

God said: 1 Corinthians 6:9) Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11) And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Representing Christ, how should we do His will?

Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11) Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12) Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. 13) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Titus 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 8) But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; 9) Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
